Dr. Nona Kalfayan is a leading expert in her field of primary eye health, and a highly sought-after physician specializing in treating dry eye disease nationwide. She holds a Doctor of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Optometry, specializing in advanced ocular surface disease. Dr. Kalfayan’s dedication lies in holistic and preventive eye care. 

As the founder of Atlantic Eyecare & Spa in Pompano Beach, Florida, she specializes in Dry Eye, non-surgical ocular aesthetics and myopic control. Atlantic Eyecare & Spa is renowned for its cutting-edge diagnostic technology and drop-less treatments for dry eye condition. 

Dr. Kalfayan was honored as one of “America’s Top Optometrists” in 2012 and is a frequent public speaker, healthcare consultant, and advisor to some major institutions in the eye care industry. 

Additionally, she serves as the treasurer for the Broward County Optometric Association and is a member of the Florida Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

I’ve always had a passion for helping people. I started my career as a registered dental hygienist and practiced for almost 20 years in Canada with a very passionate dentist, where I was able to learn a lot about the holistic medical approach.

After moving to Florida my path led me to become a licensed esthetician and to join my sister Dr. Nona Kalfayan in expanding the eye care practice, with our focus shifting more toward a holistic Eye Care approach.

We believe that proper Skin Care should be at the base of any Eye Care routine.

Both careers have given me a platform and ability to establish relationships and further educate my clients on how to achieve a healthy lifestyle that works for them.

My ultimate goal and focus is to take a holistic approach to anti-aging skin care.

Some of my favorite procedures include long-term collagen stimulators.

I have an immense passion for helping my patients look and feel their absolute best, I enjoy every moment of my day!

My professional path has taken me through dynamic roles with well-known brands such as Sephora, where I specialized in HydraFacials and served as a licensed beauty advisor, and most recently, as a senior aesthetician at Indulge in West Palm Beach, FL.
